Overview:
This article will show you how to unlock your Microsoft Account. That is the same account you use for Email and Workstation (i.e., laptop) access. Your Polaris account is different than your Microsoft account and this method will not work for that account.
Objective:
You will learn how to use the Microsoft Online Password Reset service.
Steps:
- Go to the website Microsoft Online Password Reset
- Enter in your Camin Cargo email address in the 'Email or Username' field.
- Enter the Captcha characters to prove you are not a bot.
- Click the Next button
- Select your contact method from the left side list. If you do not have anything listed that means you did not get signed up for online password recovery. Contact the Support Desk and we can assist you with recovering your password and setting you up for the online password recovery too.
- One you select the appropriate method, Microsoft will send you instructions using the method you selected. Follow those instructions to recover your account.
Precautions:
Always make sure you are accessing the correct website. A simple misspelling or reversal of letters can bring up a site that looks like the one you are trying to access but is a malicious website.
